Join our dynamic team at Explus in Northern Virginia! We're searching for a talented Finisher - Spray Painter to contribute precision and creativity to our museum exhibit fabrication projects.

Explus is a leading custom museum fabrication company located in Northern Virginia. Our fully equipped production facility is staffed with approximately 60 experienced technicians, artisans, and craftsmen. We offer a range of in-house museum exhibit fabrication services, including Project Management, Detailing, Scenic & Art Production, Exhibit Fabrication, Audio-Visual Systems Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Interactive Production, Artifact Mounting, and Exhibit Shipping & Installation.

​Experience

• ​Two or more years of experience in paint finishing, preferably in an exhibit or automotive field.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of standing, squatting, sitting, and stooping.
• Good vision for reading drawings and maneuvering through the shop.

Job Tasks and Duties 

• Prepare materials for finishing and ensure proper surface preparation.
  
• Mix and apply various finishes to different materials.
  
• Conduct quality control inspections.
  
• Adhere to safety and PPE procedures.
  
• Thoroughly check units to ensure no areas are missed.

• Demonstrate timeliness and dependability in project assignments.
  
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  
• Meet product quality standards.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities 

• Proficient in the use of spray equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Familiarity with the use of lacquer thinner and other solvents.
• Experience in color mixing and matching.
•  Ability to speak and read English.
