Exhibit Detailers: We are currently seeking experienced Exhibit Detailers to work on a variety of fast paced and exciting museum projects. Successful candidate will have at least 3 years of AutoCAD experience to produce two-dimensional shop drawings as well as experience in exhibits, architectural millwork or cabinetry. Position requires some experience with fabrication techniques, equipment and shop processes.
Cabinetmakers: Positions are currently available for experienced cabinetmakers looking for an opportunity to utilize their craftsman skills on a wide variety of fabrication projects. Must be able to read drawings and produce museum quality work.
Finisher/Painter: We have an immediate need for an experienced custom finisher who is proficient with applying a variety of finishes including; latex, nitrocellulose lacquer, automotive lacquer, varnish, etc. Candidate should be familiar with the preparation and application of stains and finishes to a variety of materials as well as have the ability to read specifications and drawings for finish specs.
Project Managers: Positions are available for Project Managers with a minimum of 5 years experience in the management of large projects, preferably museum, visitor center or trade show exhibits including project planning and budgeting with profit and loss responsibility in a manufacturing or construction environment. Successful candidate should have a thorough knowledge of woodworking techniques, equipment, and shop fabrication processes. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing in an organized, concise, and clear manner. Ability to read drawings and prepare related technical specifications also required.
Business Development Executive: We are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic and motivated individual to develop new business opportunities with existing and new clientele, build relationships with exhibit design firms, museum institutions and associations. Individual will also assist with the development of proposals. Candidate must present a professional image and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Applicant should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the exhibit industry.
Graphic Production Artist: We are looking for a Graphic Production Artist to do design layout and manipulation of artwork (both electronic files and originals). Experience in scanning and retouching images necessary as well as experience with Filemaker Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Successful candidate should have at least 3 years experience.
Estimator: We are looking for an estimator that has experience in the following areas: Estimating entire museum exhibit packages including all aspects of structures, graphics, detailing, finishing, installation, and management. Evaluate and negotiate with subcontractors and vendors during the bid phase to obtain competitive pricing. Assist in developing the scope of work and schedule for submission with proposals. Provide design estimate support for contract and pro bono situations including square foot or area budget allocations, preliminary phase and final design package estimates. Work with designers to assist in material selection, source specialty vendors and subcontractors and provide feasibility analysis of proposed design. Participate in the job handoff process by reviewing the scope and estimate documentation with the Project Manager and Detailer. Successful candidate must have good mathematical and mechanical aptitude. Must read and write English at the college level. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be organized, quality-conscious, detail-oriented, self-starter who can handle multiple projects, work well under pressure, take initiative in solving problems, and interact professionally with co-workers, vendors and clients, alike.
Interactive Specialist/Machinist: We have an immediate need for a metal worker or machinist to help develop, build and test a variety of mechanical interactives for museums. Must be able to read drawings and have prior experience with milling machines, bandsaws, punches, table saws, grinding and sanding equipment. Successful candidate should also be curious and creative!
Truck Driver: We have an immediate need for a Truck Driver with experience driving a 26’ Box Truck. Candidates must have a valid, unrestricted drivers license and a good driving record. Must be approved by our insurance company as a condition of employment.
CAD/CNC Programmer: We are looking for a Programmer to create N.C. code for KOMO routers using AutoCad detailed drawings and sketches using Router-CIM. Successful candidate must have a knowledge of AutoCad and architectural millwork. Experience with woodworking a plus.
