Chesty's Corner
National Museum of the Marine Corps
Triangle, Virginia
700 sq ft Designer: Open since November 10, 2006, the National Museum of the Marine Corps is a military history museum dedicated to showcase the material history of the United States Marine Corps. On going studies of the Museum revealed the need for dedicated children’s activity areas. Visiting families need places for younger children to learn, interact and express themselves. To this end, the Museum branded a character in the form of a bulldog named Chesty. This character is targeted to children ages 5 to 10 and is used graphically to identify two “kid friendly” areas of the Museum. Two areas in the existing gallery will be renamed “Chesty’s Dock” and “Chesty’s Corner”. |
