These imaginative exhibits focus on the history of flight-with special emphasis on Virginia’s aviation and NASA’s Langley Research Center. Aircraft on display range from a replica of the Wright Flyer to a DC-9. The designers, Krent-Paffett Associates, developed a number of interactive experiences. These include a simulated barnstorming ride on the wings of a Curtiss “Jenny” biplane and a bombing raid in WW II B-24 bomber. Explus provided project management, exhibit engineering and fabrication, interactives, and media hardware.
